Helping Children Reach their Potential

Busy Bees Occupational Therapy in Hamilton East offers assessment and intervention for children aged 2 to 18 years. We look at all of the "jobs" of being a kid, and work with your family to make goals and plans to accomplish them. If your child is having difficulty with any of the following, Occupational Therapy could help:

  • Making and keeping friends

  • Toilet tasks

  • Managing mealtimes

  • Bathing, grooming tasks and dressing

  • Playing games, playing alone or with others

  • Self regulation

  • Organising their time and belongings

  • Attention and focus

  • Handwriting

  • Typing and computer access skills

  • Fine Motor tasks including colouring, using small toys or cutlery

  • Learning new big motor skills like bike riding

  • Sitting still or controlling their body

  • Managing their response to sensory information around them

  • Noticing or over-responding to sensory cues from their own body

We work with a large range children with difficulties in the areas above and have good understanding of the implications of a range of diagnoses for children's independence. If you are unsure how Occupational Therapy could help your child, please book in a complimentary call with Michelle to discuss our approach.

If you have been asked by your child's school or one of their current medical or health professionals to consult an OT for assistance with access to NDIS or school based funding, please let us know and we can work with you to ensure you are supported through this process.
